An implant tooth has three layers: the implant in the bone, an abutment (connector), and the crown, bridge or denture. Straumann's range of parts on the iEXCEL connection includes Variobase® XC ti-bases, pre-milled abutment blanks, screw-retained abutments (SRA) for bridges and full arch, and Novaloc® attachments for removable dentures.¹

Your quote should say which abutment is used, and whether it is an original part.
Straumann's guarantee requires Straumann parts not combined with other manufacturers' products.²

Original vs third-party parts

Some clinics use third-party abutments to reduce costs. The Straumann Guarantee conditions require that Straumann products are used exclusively and not combined with other manufacturers' products, except combinations Straumann recommends.² Ask your clinic which parts they use.
