Guided surgery means the implant position is planned on a computer from your 3D scan, then transferred to the mouth with a printed guide. Straumann's guided-surgery range includes iGuide™, coDiagnostiX® planning software, Smile in a Box® and Straumann Guided Instruments.1

The guided workflow in plain words

  1. A 3D x-ray (CBCT) and a scan of your teeth are taken.
  2. The team plans the implant position in software, starting from where the future tooth should be.
  3. A surgical guide is designed and printed.
  4. During surgery the guide directs the drills to the planned position and depth.
