Types of complications

What studies show about causes
A retrospective study of 1,692 Straumann tissue-level implants reported 10-year cumulative survival of 98.23% at implant level and 95.70% at patient level. 1
Survival was related to implant diameter, length, site and insertion torque.
In 4,591 Straumann implants followed in private practice for up to 10 years, bone loss was minimal for most implants, but some showed advanced bone loss, and bleeding around the implant was linked to greater bone loss. 2
